FAQ's
Q: I don't feel like looking through the rest of the site, what do I actually need to know?A: We get that. You should know the following things: meals and snacks will be provided from Friday afternoon- Sunday morning. Feel free to bring whatever alcoholic beverages you might desire for Friday's festivities, but leave Saturday to us! There are hiking trails off the property (560 acres protected by the Vermont Land Trust!) and a two-acre swimming pond on it so plan accordingly. Bring pillows/bedding as they are not provided (with except for folks traveling a distance, just let us know in advance!), and try to bring a flashlight or headlamp as the cabins don't have electricity (but the main bathroom, EcoLodge, and other facilities do).
Q: How can I get there?
A: Check out our Lodging & Directions tab, particularly the Ride Share doc to see if carpooling opportunities exist!
Q: Can I bring ________?
A: If _______ is a non-human, non-animal entity, then absolutely! Items such as instruments, art or art-working materials, booze, food in compliance with camp ethics, plants, costumes, and books are all welcome and encouraged! This time is about you all enjoying yourselves in a shared, nonjudgmental, awesome adventurous space!
Q: Is it true Common Ground Center is vegetarian?
A: Yes! And we're super excited to remain loyal to CGC's principles, while providing delicious, satisfying noms for you all weekend! Saturday may even involve some crustaceans! We do ask that all guests respect this, and also make us aware of any food allergies- we plan to have all prepared food labeled.
Q: What if it rains?
A: The whole thing is cancelled, obviously. JUST KIDDING! The show must go on, rain is life! We have access to all of CGC buildings, which will be prime space for alternate activities if we do experience any inclement weather. And, you know, maybe bring some rain gear so you're not too soggy. There are also coin-op washer/dryers in the EdoLodge.
Q: What if I have other questions?
A: That's impossible.
